We left Warsaw at 08:15 and arrived here at the bottom of Austria at 21:00. The time taken up by our three stops was offset by using the A2 which runs more or less from home to Lodz and also a brand new and as yet not officially open highway (A1) that runs from the main Czestochowa-Katowice road across to Katowice airport and then down past Gliwice almost the whole way to the Czech border. When the motorway runs out head for Włodzisław Śląski and then cross the border at Chałupki. These must have saved us an hour or more versus the normal time needed to get out of Poland.
Czech was boring but trouble free.
Austria again reminds what a beautiful country it is and how important it is to have a tractor.
After a decent night at the “Allyouneed” hotel for a walk-in rate of €132 for a triple room we now head over the Italian border and south past Florence to our destination.
