We’re spending this weekend deeply undercover in the proper Polish countryside. The village we’re staying in, Cos-Tam Mały, is so small that we saw the entire village and three generations from every family in the space of a ten minute walk earlier today. It wasn’t too difficult because 75% of them were all in one field picking potatoes! I kid you not.
We’ve cleaned horses hooves, seen cows being milked, cuddled a new born calf, walked by the lake, had a ride in a proper big green John Deere tractor, ate some very yummy countryside food………will the fun ever stop? Well, the fun has already taken a short break because one of our party has taken ill and my wife plus someone else’s wife have had to drive him to the hospital for a check up. That means going to the big smoke, which in these parts is called Szczytno. He’s been feeling off for a while apparently and has been self administering antibiotics in the hope of finding the right one??? Or something like that.
There’s a lot to be said for a wholesome life in the country air but it will have to wait until I get back to civilization. Got lots of countryside pictures ready to post as well.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
